For Kalle, sustainability is an obligation and central component of the business concept. Our sponge cloths are made from wood cellulose and cotton, which are both renewable raw materials. They are durable, reusable and biodegradable.
Renewable Raw Materials
Kalle Sponge Cloths are produced from renewable raw materials. They consist of 70% wood cellulose and 30% cotton.
Durability and Reusability
Kalle Sponge Cloths offer particular abrasion resistance and are therefore particularly durable. They can be washed repeatedly in the dishwasher or washing machine – even as part of a boil wash. When they are dried, they do not become brittle; rather, they remain flexible and can be re-used "as new".
The Kalle Sponge Cloth can be even particularly well sterilised through physical (e.g., thermal, radiotherapy) and chemical processes (e.g., ethylene oxide).
Sustainable cleanliness
Kalle Sponge Cloths do not only ensure clean surfaces, but are also better than other wiping cloths at absorbing bacteria, germs and pathogens, and simply transfer these to the waste water when they are cleaned.
